Academic Integrity Policy
  1. This policy:
    1. supports faculty and students through a fair, objective, and neutral process governing instances of alleged violations of academic dishonesty;
    2. provides a procedure for CSN to record student violations of academic integrity;
    3. enhances the existing CSN Student Code of Conduct with respect to violations of academic integrity; and
    4. provides a procedure for:
      1. instructors to use when they suspect a student of academic dishonesty and intend to impose academic sanctions; and
      2. students to use to appeal allegations of academic dishonesty.
    5. Outlines the Student Conduct Officer’s (SCO) role regarding conduct sanctions, as appropriate.

Academic Program Review Policy

CCSN reviews academic programs pursuant to policies of the Nevada Board of Regents. Reviews are conducted under the direction of the CCSN Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) following a rotating schedule (see Appendix A) and are submitted to the CCSN President, the NSHE Office, and the Board of Regents. Systematic program review is a significant dimension of the CCSN assessment program.

CSN Committees

Committees at CSN provide for the involvement of faculty, administrators, staff, and students in deliberations regarding day to day and long-range planning and policies for the college. Types of committees provide for different levels of involvement in college governance. All college personnel are encouraged to actively participate in college governance by volunteering for committees.
