This policy provides a procedure for academic assessment, defined in this policy as the systematic process of gathering, interpreting, and acting upon data related to student learning for the purposes of course, program, and institutional improvement. The policy’s purpose is to establish processes to better understand what students are learning and how well they are prepared for their chosen professions, and to ensure that students who complete CSN degrees possess a common set of skills and dispositions characteristic of well-rounded, productive citizens.
