CAMPUS SHUTTLE SERVICE: “Campus Commuter”

 

We are pleased to announce a new campus shuttle service in partnership with Nevada State College. 

This service, called Campus Commuter, will stop at the three main CSN campuses, Nevada State College,

and the Clark Country East Side Library.

Campus Commuter will begin operation on January 21, 2020.

•    This is a fixed route program with two routes.
•    There is one 24-passenger shuttle dedicated to the Blue Line (between CSN Charleston & CSN North Las Vegas),
      and two 24-passenger shuttles assigned to the Black Line (between Nevada State College & CSN North Las Vegas).
•    The Shuttle Program will operate Monday through Friday:

  •  Monday through Thursday from 8:00AM – 10:00PM.
  •  Friday from 8:00AM – 4:00PM.  
  •  Please note that there is no weekend service, nor during NSHE observed holidays.
  •  Campus Commuter will not operate during the summer.

•    Students need to show their CSN ID to ride the shuttle.  Please obtain your CSN ID at Student Government,
      located in each campus Student Union https://www.csn.edu/student-government.
•    The shuttle stops (for pick up and drop off) are:

  •  CSN Henderson Campus: the drive loop on the west side of C Building.
  •  CSN North Las Vegas Campus: the RTC stop west of the Student Union.
  •  CSN Charleston Campus: the RTC Paratransit stop east of I & K Buildings.
  •  East Las Vegas Library: the RTC stop.
  •  Nevada State College: the drive loop in front of the Student Union.

The Campus Commuter will operate Monday through Friday:

FAQ

 

How long will the Campus Commuter last?  
The Campus Commuter program is currently planned as a one-year pilot.  If there is sufficient demand for the shuttle, we will develop a longer plan to support ridership.

Can anyone ride the Campus Commuter?  
No, the Campus Commuter is available for students only.  Students must present a CSN ID and pay to ride. Service will be free through the end of February on a first come,
first served basis while we finalize the mobile app and fine tune operations. Faculty and staff participation will be re-evaluated after the program is launched.  

How do I report an emergency?
Please call Emergency Services immediately by dialing 911.

How do I report a non-emergency?
Please call non-emergency services at 702-895-3668.

How will I know when my shuttle has arrived?  
If you are waiting at your pick-up location, you will see the shuttle arrive. Our shuttles will have CSN decals and our drivers wear uniforms.
